Hi! I ’m Molly Trudeau aka a good mess.
An artist, coder, educator, and mother, Molly has been working in the arts for over 20 years. Her career has centered on creating quality art experiences for all~through her roles in schools, museums, and community centers, as well as through founding a WPA-inspired children’s art studio, Mini Art Center (MAC), which ran from 2015–2019. She believes art should be accessible and affordable for everyone, and that creativity belongs to the community.
She’s lived and worked in Indianapolis, IN; New York City, NY; New Orleans, LA; Ann Arbor, MI; and, most recently, Santa Fe, NM. In every place she’s landed, one thing has remained consistent: she was put in charge of managing or creating a website. From there, her interest in code grew into a full-on passion. In 2019, Molly attended a very dope coding bootcamp (in Bali, no less), where that passion turned into skills in HTML, CSS, jQuery, Jekyll, and counting.
Molly’s work is inspired by a sense of childlike wonder~the most uninhibited artists of all time. She hopes to create work from a place of true reflection without regard for the norm and honestly just enjoys having fun with it.
When she’s not working, she can usually be found with crumbs (most likely) on her shirt, taking photos of flowers around town.
